WHAT'S AT STAKE?

Video Production Is Not Taught Properly In Schools

We’ve developed a game-changing way to teach professional video production for just $1 per person, anywhere in the world. What is our secret? Every student learns to film and edit a one minute video on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Tested with top schools in Los Angeles like CalArts and USC, One Minute Academy online courses empower people to tell their stories and thrive in their careers. We also host virtual and in person workshops.

MISSION

We’re Changing the Way
the World Shares Stories

Over the last 12 years we have worked with Adobe, National Geographic, Princeton University and 82 US Embassies to host hundreds of free workshops in 60 countries. We provide our software,  and online curriculum to teachers around the world so they can replicate our mission at no additional cost.

This is how we build a better world.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Video literacy means being able to film and edit a professional looking video with a beginning, middle and end, and being able to speak about videos in a professional way. Providing video literacy programs is our solution to promote economic empowerment, advocate for freedom of speech, celebrate cultural traditions and fight disinformation, one story at a time.

WHAT MAKES IDEAS MOVE?

One Minute Academy founder Christoph A. Geiseler worked closely with USC Annenberg Professor and Public Diplomacy expert Nicolas Cull, PhD to design a curriculum to help diplomats understand the power of short videos. Cull speaks about the way that stories can impact public opinion. How do we work with credible messengers? Most importantly, what are the issues that will define our future?

CERTIFICATION

Many students around the world have never received a certificate before in their lives. A certificate of participation becomes a source of pride and prestige. Furthermore, certificates allow participants to apply for jobs. When teachers replicate the program in their communities, we achieve a multiplier effect, which deepens our educational impact around the world.

CASE STUDY:
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

One Minute Academy worked with the National Geographic Society to assemble a team of scriptwriters, actors and explorers to film and edit 120 one minute videos about photography, public speaking, social media and writing for impact.
